Fondation Baur in Geneva is a collection of Japanese and Chinese art assembled by the collector Alfred Baur (1865-1951). Originally intended as a domestic dwelling, the building dates from the early 20th century. In the autumn of 2010 the Japanese section, recently redesigned by Bassi Carella Architects, was reopened to the public. Ruckstuhl was asked to furnish the building with its Calicut coir carpets in a special colour variant.
